POWER TO CHILE
AgustaWestland is to supply four A109 Power light twin-turbine helicopters to the Chilean police for law enforcement, search-and-rescue and transport duties, with deliveries beginning in the first quarter of next year.
FLIGHT CONTROL
Sikorsky is flight testing itsS-92 with a search-and-rescue automatic flight control enabling fully coupled approaches to a position "hooked" by search radar, flight management system, thermal imager or digital map. European certification is planned by year-end.
MEDICAL VISION
Grand Rapids, Michigan-based Aero Med Spectrum Health is to equip its Sikorsky S-76 helicopters with Max-Viz EVS-1000 enhanced vision systems.
POLICE GUARDIAN
The Los Angeles Interagency Metropolitan Police Apprehension Crime Task Force has ordered an Enstrom 480N Guardian helicopter for delivery in December.
