EMERGENCY HELICOPTER

Nigeria's National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) is planning to buy additional helicopters that will be deployed at its six bases across the country. The NEMA says it will employ and train civilian pilots in an effort to reduce its dependence on the Nigerian Air Force, particularly for search and rescue missions.

EUROCOPTER SALES

Eurocopter sold eleven twin engine helicopters last year to the Spanish government. The line up includes four AS355NP,two EC135 twin-engine and five Cougar AS532AL helicopters - three earmarked for the country's military

emergency unit and equipped for emergency missions including firefighting and search and rescue.

VIP DELIVERY

US interior completions company Aerolite has delivered its first VIP-equipped Eurocopter EC135. The aircraft is designed to seat five passengers and includes a number of "cleverly designed amenities" such as easy access storage spaces and a "spacious and separate luggage compartment which complements the interior," says Aerolite.
