Global expansion
Indian offshore helicopter services provider Global Vectra Helicorp is planning to buy six new helicopters by the end of next year as part of its plan to expand its fleet from 14, including 11 leased types, to 29 by 2009. The New Delhi-based operator says it will acquire four Bell 412s and two Eurocopter EC155BIs.

Extra Aircraft has named Florida-based Southeast Aero as exclusive North American dealer for its EA-300 aerobatic aircraft, expanding on the company’s role as US assembly and support centre and regional dealer.
NAC diamond
Johannesburg-based general aviation company National Airways (NAC) has been appointed a regional distribution centre by Diamond Aircraft, offering the turbo-diesel-powered DA40 TDi and DA42 Twin Star as well as the single-turbofan D-Jet in South Africa.
Islander refit
Britten-Norman has extended its portfolio by offering aircraft refurbishment on its twin-engine Islanders. “This new initiative is kicked off with the acquisition of five Islanders, which will be available for sale this month,” says the Bembridge, Isle of Wight-based company.
