RADIAL REBEL
British Columbia-based Murphy Aircraft has introduced a radial engine option for its Rebel kitplane, which is eligible to be built as a light-sport aircraft. Powered by an Australian-built 110hp (80kW) Rotec 2800 seven-cylinder radial, the aircraft will be unveiled at next month’s AirVenture show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
BERIEV LEASE
Beriev has been awarded a contract by the Portuguese National Service for Fire and Civil Protection, for the 62-day lease of a Be-200ES starting on 1 July. The aircraft will be used to tackle forest and other ground fires.
TURKEY CENTRE
AgustaWestland has selected helicopter operator and maintenance company Kaan Air as its authorised sales and service centre in Turkey as demand for new helicopters there grows. Istanbul-based Kaan will provide sales, maintenance and repair services as well as a full spares inventory for the airframer’s range of helicopters.
