PUMA PLUNGE

A Eurocopter Super Puma search and rescue helicopter carrying 17 people plunged into the North Sea on 21 November near the Netherlands port of Den Helder, after the pilot reported engine trouble. Nobody was injured. According to the Netherlands coastguard, the twin-engined helicopter, crewed by four personnel, was returning from a North Sea oil platform, from which it had evacuated 13 staff following a power failure.

AgustaWestland has sold a A109S Grand and A119 Koala to Malaysian operators Weststar Aviation and Innovest Aviation respectively. Both helicopters will be configured for corporate/VIP transport.
