SIMUlATOR CONTRACT
L-3 Communications has been awarded a contract to design and build a simulated Bell 412 helicopter cockpit. L-3 will deliver the system to US engineering group Aegis Technologies later this year.
COCKPIT DEAL
Sikorsky has signed a preliminary agreement with Tata Advanced Systems of India to manufacture S-92 helicopter cabins in India. Details of the partnership have not been disclosed.
LSA DELIVERY
SeaMax USA has delivered its first flying boat special light sport aircraft to an unnamed US customer. Designed by Brazil's Airmax, the $137,000 aircraft has "the biggest flight envelope in the amphibious [LSA] category, with a cruising speed of 115mph [100kt] and stall speed of 36mph," says Davenport, Florida-based SeaMax.
