DIAMOND IN RUSSIA

Diamond Airborne Sensing has gained a foothold in the Russian airborne surveillance market following approval of the DA42 multipurpose platform by the Russian civil aviation authority. Diamond Airborne Sensing, a subsidiary of Diamond Aircraft, expects to double MPP sales from 17 aircraft this year to 35 in 2009.

ZHUHAI DELIVERIES

Zhuhai Helicopter has taken delivery of two Sikorsky S-76C++ helicopters to support offshore oil projects in the South China Sea and Bohai Bay. The handover follows hot on the heels of a recent order from the Chinese government for four S-76C++ helicopters, which will double its maritime and search and rescue fleet.

GULF TRAINING

Emirates-CAE Flight Training has clinched a five-year contract with Gulf Helicopter to provide specialised training for its Bell 412 pilots. Training will take place at Emirates-CAE's Dubai base and will cover simulator training on the CAE Bell 412 full-flight simulator, enhanced classroom-based training and crew resource management.
