Riding the wave of interest created by the Olympics, Georgia's Department of Industry and Trade is promoting the aerospace industry in Hall 4/H8.

Some 150 aerospace/defence-related businesses already enjoy the benefits of Georgia locations, employing more than 40,000 people.

Besides manufacturing, many are engaged in research and development, design, engineering and software development for the industry, says spokesman Glen Cornell.

Some 15 of the top 20 US aerospace contractors have facilities in Georgia, including AlliedSignal, Boeing, Lockheed and McDonnell Douglas.
