Lufthansa has introduced the first of five secondhand Airbus A330-200s it is acquiring as part of its widebody fleet expansion. The airline leased five ex-Swissair and Sabena -200s after an order with Airbus for 10 new A330-300s. The -200s are Pratt & Whitney PW4000-powered, while the new -300s will be equipped with Rolls-Royce Trent 700s. The -200s are initially being operated on services from Frankfurt to Boston and Philadelphia.
