EADS Casa has delivered the first of four in-flight refuelling kits for installation on a German air force Airbus A310, shown above during windtunnel testing. The EADS EFW conversion centre in Germany plans to modify four aircraft, with the first tanker scheduled to fly at the end of 2003. The kits comprise two underwing hose drum units, pylons, four auxiliary fuel tanks and an operator station. Canada has also ordered two of the kits for its A310s and the system is being considered by the Spanish air force.
