The Near Earth Asteroid Rendezvous spacecraft will enter a new 35km (21 mile) orbit around the Eros asteroid for a closer look on a 10-day mission from 14 July before returning to its 50km orbit. Closer viewings are planned, including a "brush" with the surface before the spacecraft's mission ends in February.
