The Ghana air force has taken delivery of its first of two Airbus Military C-295 tactical transport aircraft.
Airbus Military said the second aircraft will be handed over in the first quarter of 2012.

The twin-turboprop type will be primarily used for domestic transport and humanitarian relief missions, the European manufacturer said.
This C-295 is the first Airbus Military product that the Ghana air force will operate. The service also currently uses three Fokker F27 transports, as listed in Flightglobal's MiliCAS database.
