The Saab/BAE Systems Gripen combat aircraft has been offered in response to a Polish requirement for 60 fighters for delivery by 2008. This follows a bid to meet a similar requirement for the Czech Republic.
The company has also received a request for proposals for up to 30 aircraft from Austria, and expects a request from Brazil for up to 60 aircraft in August.
Other strong sales prospects are thought to include Hungary and Oman.
