THE WING AND CENTRE-FUSELAGE sections for the first Bombardier Global Express long-range business jet arrived at de Havilland in Toronto, Canada, in late January. The sections, produced in Japan by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, were flown in by an Antonov An-124. The forward-fuselage section was scheduled to arrive from Canadair in early February. Bombardier expects the aircraft to be fully assembled by late March, with power-on testing starting in late April, and a first flight in September.
