Russia's Khrunichev and the Anglo-French-German Matra Marconi Space-Daimler-Benz Aerospace Dornier Satellite System company have proposed to the European Union and Russian Government the provision of a global environmental service, providing maps and planning information on land, sea and the atmosphere, using satellite derived data.
