Indian offshore operator Global Vectra signed a contract with Eurocopter at the show yesterday for three EC155B1 Dauphin intermediate twin helicopters.
Global Vectra, which is India’s largest offshore operator, acquired its first two EC155s last year and will use the new aircraft to extend the geography of its operations across India.
Global Vectra chief executive S J S Saighal signed the contract with Eurocopter senior vice-president for Asia-Pacific, Norbert Ducrot.
Ducrot said the agreement with Global Vectra was further evidence of the growing importance of India as a market for Dauphin helicopters with the offshore, corporate and VIP market segments growing quickly.
