Brazilian low-cost carrier Gol has appointed Paulo Kakinoff as its new chief executive, effective 2 July.
Kakinoff will succeed Constantino de Oliveira Junior, who will be elected as chairman of the board of directors, says Gol.
Kakinoff, formerly Volkswagen Group's president of Audi Brazil, will also resign from his position as member of Gol's board of directors.
"The board of directors will focus on strategic issues, in an active way, in which Junior's leadership and experience will be essential. It will add up in the pursuit of a common goal which is the sustainable growth and Gol's success," says Kakinoff.
