UK electrical maintenance specialist AEM (Hall 2, Stand H12) has inked a $1 million three-year "golden package" with Alitalia Express for support of the electrical systems on the Italian operator's fleet of Embraer ERJ 145s. Alitalia currently runs six of the regional jets and expects to take delivery of another two this year. The package comprises repair and overall service, the benefits of which include faster turnrounds guaranteed by exchange units, streamlined administration, and special packaging and transport arrangements. Says AEM sales and marketing manager Gary Hale: "The beauty of the golden package is that it can be specifically tailored to meet individual customers' needs."
