Alcoa - The New York-based advanced materials supplier detailed its role on the 70-seat AVIC I Commercial Aircraft ARJ21-700 regional jet, including heat-treated alloys for the airframe extrusions for the wing fuselage stringers floor beams and seat tracks and fasteners for the General Electric CF34-10A engines. All of the materials will be made in the USA or South Korea, although Alcoa has a plant in Shanghai. The first ARJ21 is set for 2009.
