Boeing has selected Goodrich to supply the proximity-sensing system for the manufacturer's 7E7 aircraft. The proximity system will monitor the position of the aircraft's landing gear and thrust reverser components and determine whether passenger, cargo and access doors are closed. The agreement represents Goodrich's fourth work package on the 7E7. The company is also providing nacelles and thrust reversers, the fuel quantity indicating system and fuel management software.
