A modular potable water system from Goodrich has been selected as standard on the Bombardier Aerospace CRJ900 Series. It is the second of the company's aircraft to be certificated with the system, which is also installed on the CRJ700.The system for the CRJ900 is pressurised, using aircraft ECS/APJU bleed air, plus an air compressor to supplement or replace bleed air if necessary. Water temperature at the various outlet interfaces is controlled with localised heaters to provide accurate temperature control with reduced power requirements.

Bruce Coggins, Goodrich's president, Deicing & Specialty Systems, says: "We were able to provide Bombardier with a one-source solution for its potable water needs on this aircraft."
