Australian unmanned air vehicle (UAV) manufacturer Aerosonde Holdings is expected to resume trading on the Australian Stock Exchange this week after the Australian Department of Defence committed itself to providing work packages for the company.
The manufacturer was suspended from trading on 3 May when 20% owner Saab Systems withdrew a take-over offer.
The new contracts include the use of Aerosonde UAVs to help ground-truth validation for radar signals from the Jindalee Over the Horizon Radar Network. Initial flights out of Darwin will start this week.
Aerosonde is still confident a major export order involving the sale of over 50 UAVs to an undisclosed customer will be sealed within eight months. The company continues to seek new investors.
