Israel is to deploy the Green Pine phased-array radar being developed for the Arrow anti-tactical ballistic missile system, as part of tests of the Nautilus laser gun. The prototype of the Green Pine radar will be used to detect rocket targets, while the targeting of the laser beam will be via an electro-optical system. The Israelis also intend to use acoustic sensors during the tests as a way of detecting rocket launches.
