Germany's Grob Aerospace has selected the Thales integrated electronic standby instrument (IESI) as standard equipment on its G160 Ranger single-engined business turboprop. The IESI, which displays attitude, airspeed and altitude data on a 3ATI active-matrix liquid crystal display, has also been selected by Gulfstream for its G150 mid-size business jet. Certification of the €2.3 million ($3 million) G160 is scheduled for the end of the year.
