Gulf Air is forging a wide-ranging strategic pact with Egyptair, which will include codeshare operations, joint marketing and flight scheduling. Codesharing will begin in the next few months on routes from the three Gulf Air owner states of Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Oman to the Egyptian destinations of Alexandria and Cairo. The pact will also feature joint services to Egyptian tourist resorts. Late this year the co-operation will be extended to more services, such as the long-haul Cairo-Bahrain-Sydney route.
