Gulfstream G150 take-off performance figures derived from the aircraft's manual are optimistic, the US Federal Aviation Administration has revealed.
The FAA proposes to require an update to the performance tables in the manual of the midsize business jet, because the take off distance performance assumptions for sloping runways and for take-off with anti-icing are not sufficiently conservative, assuming maximum performance in all other respects.
The FAA review was prompted by findings from the Civil Aviation Authority of Israel on G150 performance, which the US agency ratified. The FAA estimates its ruling will affect 56 US-registered aircraft.
