Gulfstream Aerospace delivered its first Gulfstream V, to an unnamed "international customer", on 30 December, 1996. The delivery was actually to Gulfstream's Savannah, Georgia, completion centre where the aircraft will remain until it enters service in the second quarter of 1997. The first delivery followed provisional US certification of the 12,000km (6,500nm)-range GV on 13 December. Full US certification is due before the first completed aircraft is ready for delivery to the customer.
