Hainan Airlines and Tianjin Airlines have filed applications with the Civil Aviation of China (CAAC) traffic rights to operate new international services next year.
The CAAC says Hainan Airlines plans to start twice-weekly Shenzhen-Vienna in May 2018 and Chengdu-Chicago services from June 2018 onwards.
It also sought to adjust its Beijing-Tel Aviv service to include operating a twice-weekly Chengdu-Tel Aviv route starting June 2018.
The carrier intends to deploy Airbus A330s or Boeing 787s on all three routes.
Tianjin Airlines, meanwhile, intends to begin a once weekly Chongqing-St Petersburg service in April 2018 with A330s.
FlightGlobal schedules data shows that both airlines will be the only operators of the routes they have sought to serve.
CAAC has called for comments on the applications to file their submission by 29 November.
