Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) will manufacture the cargo door for the Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) Boeing 737-300 passenger-to-cargo conversion. The door is now manufactured by IAI. The new contract is part of the co-operation agreement signed in 2003 between the Indian and Israeli companies. "This is a beginning of a co-operation that may lead to the production of other fuselage parts in India," says David Arzi, IAI corporate vice-president and general manager of its Bedek Group division.
