US systems supplier Hamilton Sundstrand (Booth B19-20, Hall 5) is showcasing its parts in several leading military programmes on the back of three recent successes.
The company supplies the big composite-bladed propeller for the Airbus A400M military freighter. It is also responsible for the secondary electric power distribution centre (SEPDC) and has just delivered the first production-configuration chassis to Airbus. The SEPDC provides switching and protection for the A400M’s approximately 1,000 electrical loads.

The company has been selected to supply fly-by-wire flight-control computers and primary main and tail-rotor actuators for the US Marines’ new CH-53K heavy-lift helicopter fleet.

Hardware deliveries are scheduled for next year. Potential value of the contract is an estimated $150 million and could grow to more than $250m.
