One of two new hangars at the UK's Oxford airport (booth 1272) was completed just before Easter.
The 1,300m2 (14,000ft2) hangar is a unique design for the UK - manufactured in Hungary, it was procured with a two-month lead time and erected in just a week.
It is designed to accommodate most regional turboprop types, along with Bombardier Global Express and Gulfstream V-sized business jets. Its uses will range from general aircraft storage to maintenance support for the British Antarctic Survey.
A second, 1,950m2 hangar will be completed later this year and will be of more conventional design.
"The airport hasn't seen this level of investment and pace of development for decades," says managing director Steve Jones. "We're in a great location and have unique advantages in terms of flexibility and ease of access, and with very few constraints on capacity or hours of operation, we're making the most of what this airport can offer to the business aviation community."
Oxford also plans to establish an instrument landing system, the development of which will involve widening the main 1,553m (5,095ft) runway to 30m.
