South Korea’s Hanseo Unversity has acquired two Enstrom 480Bs ahead of the opening of a new helicopter pilot training school.

Hanseo says it will begin training helicopter pilots in March at its Seosan campus in western South Korea. Its new helicopter operations department aims to graduate 10 helicopter pilots a year using its two recently delivered 480Bs. The pilots will also earn a four-year degree in aeronautical science.

Hanseo’s Aeronautical Science division already offers a fixed-wing pilot course as part of its flight-operations department. At the beginning of this year fixed-wing pilot training was moved from California to South Korea. This was made possible by the acquisition of five Cessna 172s, which are now being used to graduate 30 fixed-wing students annually, says the university.
