Hapag-Lloyd's deal last week for 10 more Boeing 737-800s is part of a plan to phase out its Airbus A310s and switch to a 40-strong, all-737 operation. Deliveries are to begin next year. The TUI-owned airline says its six 271-seat General Electric CF6-powered A310s will be withdrawn as the 189-seat 737s arrive.
