Following more than two years of negotiations, pilots at Hawaiian Airlines have ratified a tentative 68-month labour contract by a margin of 83%.

A spokesman for the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) says 90% of eligible pilots voted on the agreement.

The contract provides increased compensation for the carrier's pilots while addressing operational issues that are important to the company, Hawaiian said last month when the tentative deal was announced.

The pilot contract is the latest labour deal the carrier has finalised. Last year Hawaiian inked labour contracts with both its flight attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants (AFA-CWA), and its dispatchers, represented by the Transport Workers Union (TWU).

Management is still in negotiations with the union representing Hawaiian's largest employee group, the clerical division of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM).

Last month Hawaiian reached a tentative agreement with other employee groups represented by the IAM including airport customer service, ramp, reservations, schedule planning, purchasing, records and crew scheduling employees.
