Hawaiian Airlines plans to begin thrice-weekly service between Honolulu and Beijing on 16 April 2014 pending regulatory approval by Chinese and US authorities.
The route, which is Hawaiian's 10th international destination added since November 2010, will be operated with Airbus A330 aircraft configured with 294 seats, says the airline.
Hawaiian will be the only carrier operating non-stop on the route, schedules in Innovata show.
Separately, Hawaiian will discontinue non-stop service from Honolulu to Manila this summer due to poor performance.
The last flight from Honolulu to Manila will depart on 31 July and the last return flight to Honolulu will depart 1 August. The service operates four times weekly and began in April 2008.
"High fuel prices and low fares have plagued this particular route, and while we have made several efforts to improve the economic performance of our Manila service, including adjusting our flight schedule to optimise connections and upgrading to newer A330 aircraft, we've concluded that the route will not be a commercial success," says Hawaiian's chief commercial officer Peter Ingram in a statement.
Philippine Airlines also operates non-stop between Honolulu and Manila, offering thrice weekly flights, schedules in Innovata show.
