Hawaiian Airlines will be restructured under a trustee after the troubled carrier decided not to appeal against the decision of a Federal bankruptcy court judge. The trustee was due to be appointed late last week. The move is welcomed by Boeing Capital (BCC), the airline's major lessor, which sought the restructuring after Hawaiian obtained bankruptcy protection still owing $10 million in lease payments for 13 717s and three 767-300ERs. The airline, which filed for Chapter 11 on 21 March, also requested around $20 million in relief from BCC, having received $30 million from the Air Transportation Stabilization Board in 2002.
