Ampere has adopted a novel approach to decorating its stand - covering the floor in copper shavings. What's more, tables at the stand in Hall 4/F4 are supported by magnesium blocks. Other metals displayed include cobalt, chromium, nickel and various alloys used in casting.
The firm has come to the Paris show for the first time. Commercial manager Vincent Laroche says: "Although this is a small part of our business, it is an important one.
"We came to see our customers as we feel that it is important to be present and show people what the raw materials look like."
