The Portuguese navy plans to acquire two more anti-submarine warfare and search-and-rescue helicopters for operations from its Meko 200 frigates. The €45 million ($54 million) deal will seethe aircraft join the navy's current five AgustaWestland Lynx 95 helicopters. The service is considering the Super Lynx 300 or second-hand Super Lynx, along with surplus types such as the Kaman SH-2G Super Seasprite or Sikorsky SH-60 Seahawk.
