Eurocopter has delivered two EC145s to Argentinian offshore operator Helicopteros Marinos. The light twin-engined rotorcraft will enter service with the Buenos Aires-based company in January. The EC145s will be used to search and rescue operations and offshore transport for oil company Total Austral covering oil rigs up to 110km (60nm) off the Argentinian coast. Both EC145s are equipped in an eight-passenger configuration with weather radar, cockpit voice and flight data recorder and usage monitoring system as well as an HF radio.
