Airbus Helicopters has secured its first Southeast Asian order for the medium-twin ACH160, with a single example going to an undisclosed operator in the Philippines.
“Airbus Helicopters has secured an ACH160 order from an undisclosed new customer in the Philippines, launching this new model in the Southeast Asia and Pacific region,” says the company.
“It will be used for private and business flights within the Philippines archipelago.”
The ACH160 is the VIP-roled variant of the H160.
Cirium Fleets Analyzer shows that prior to the order in the Philippines, there were eight firm orders for the ACH160, with four going to an unnamed American operator and four to an unnamed British operator.
The ACH160 can carry up to eight passengers in a cabin which Airbus Helicopters says resembles that found in a business jet.
