Leonardo and its Chinese distributor Sino-US Intercontinental Helicopter Investment (Shanghai) have inked a deal for 17 rotorcraft worth more than €100 million ($111 million).
Comprising a pair of AW119Kx light-singles, 10 AW109 Trekker light-twins and five AW139 intermediate-twins, deliveries will begin later this year.
The pact also covers the renewal of a distribution agreement, which makes the Chinese company the exclusive representative for the entire Chinese market from 2019.
Sino-US Intercontinental has previously placed orders for nearly 100 helicopters spanning the entire AgustaWestland civil range.
