Bell Helicopter has delivered two Bell 429s to Carpediem Mandiri, which will be used for the flight calibration department of Indonesia's transport ministry.
"The delivery marks the first two Bell 429s to be used for flight calibration operations throughout Indonesia, performing instrument calibration for Helicopter Ground Instrument Landing and Departing Systems at airports, heliports and helipads," says Bell in a statement
The manufacturer says that Carpediem Mandiri's main line of business is vehicle rentals, but it plans to expand in several sectors, including aviation.
Bell Helicopter Asia-Pacific managing director Sameer Rehman says this is the first time the Bell 429 has been used for flight calibration work, and highlights the platform's flexibility.
