Filipino operator PhilJets Group has placed orders for two Airbus Helicopters H130 rotorcraft and one H145.

The three helicopters will be delivered in the last quarter of 2017, says PhilJets in a statement.

The helicopters will be deployed for various missions, including VIP transport, tourism, and possibly emergency medical services (EMS). The acquisition will bring PhilJets' Airbus Helicopters fleet to nine.

Thierry Tea, founder and chief executive of PhilJets says the commercial helicopter fleet of the Philippines is very fragmented.

“Establishing PhilJets in 2013, our goal was to develop the business aviation market in the Philippines to a state where it can receive the attention it deserves," he says. "Airbus helicopters served our needs very well and we have full confidence of the continued reliability and performance as we grow our fleet to bolster our operations”.
