Russia’s UTair-Helicopter Services has become the 100th member of the safety body HeliOffshore.
“With the commitment of senior leaders across the industry, and the might of 100 members, we are working beyond competitive boundaries to enhance safety,” says the organisation’s chief executive, Gretchen Haskins.
“HeliOffshore members are aligned behind one strategy and, together, we are delivering more for safety than any one organisation could achieve alone.”
UTair-Helicopter Services, the rotary-wing division of the Russian airline, operates more than 320 helicopters on four continents.
Chief executive Andrey Ilmenskiy says the company is delighted to mark the association’s 100-member milestone.
"We look forward to a fruitful collaboration with the global offshore helicopter community; one that is determined to continuously improve safety,” he says.
HeliOffshore was launched by five firms – Babcock, Bristow Group, CHC Helicopter, Era and PHI – in October 2004; its membership now includes more than 30 operators, it says.
