El Al has suspended services to Russia after its security staff in Moscow and St Petersburg were ordered to surrender their weapons after four years of undisturbed operation. The Israeli Government has threatened to block Aeroflot and Transaero flights to Israel if the security arrangements are not restored by 10 January.
