Hong Kong Airlines has selected International Aero Engines V2500 powerplants for the single Airbus Corporate Jetliner which the carrier ordered last year.

The ACJ, based on the A319 airframe, was part of an order for 51 Airbus jets placed last year.

Hong Kong Airlines, a subsidiary of Hainan Airlines, is to take delivery of the aircraft in September 2009.

It ordered the ACJ alongside 20 A330s and 30 A320s.

Hainan Airlines has also selected the V2500 for a batch of A320-family jets which the Chinese carrier has on order.
