Honda Motor's HondaJet business jet is pictured making its first flight last month from Piedmont Triad Airport in North Carolina (Flight International 23 December 2003-5 January). The aircraft is powered by indigenously developed, overwing-mounted HF118 turbofan engines and has a composite fuselage. The HondaJet is scheduled to undergo around 200h of flight tests. The engine has already had 110h of flight tests, most of which were on a Cessna Citation testbed.
