Honeywell has received Technical Standard Order (TSO) approval to manufacture and deliver its Bendix/ King KMD 550 and KMD 850 Multi-Function Display (MFD) units. Both of Honeywell's Bendix/King MFDs offer pilots fully integrated safety information on a single display. The Bendix/King KMD 550 is designed for non-radar-equipped piston and light turbine aircraft. It is a 102mm-high, full-colour MFD. The Bendix/King KMD 850, on the other hand, is designed for radar-equipped piston, turboprop and turbofan aircraft.
