Hong Kong's Civil Aviation Department is focusing its investigation into a false fire-alarm aboard a new Cathay Pacific Airways Boeing 777-200, on two crates of live frogs being carried in the aircraft's hold. Over 300 passengers were forced to make an emergency evacuation on landing at Kai Tak Airport after the aircraft's lower-hold fire-detection system was activated. An airline source confirms that live frogs were being carried on the flight from Bangkok and should have been sprayed before take-off to keep them cool.
