Covering every section of the industry with its thermal spray technology, Sulzer Metco plays a vital role in keeping aircraft operating at maximum efficiency and safety.

A materials and surface technology company, it offers a line of spray materials and solutions to protect aircraft components from extreme surface conditions. Sulzer products are used prevent wearing on blades, airfoils and shafts; oxidisation on turbine blades and fuel nozzles, as well as thermal fatigue on combustors.

Using an IT display, the company is showing a number of products on Stand B4, Hall 5, but, says account manager Danny Rivolet: "We are really here to promote our services and our complete solutions.

"With the broadest product line in the thermal spray industry, we are able to provide equipment for virtually any application, whatever a company's specific requirements.

"The company infrastructure has also changed, becoming more segmented, so that each department now concentrates solely on one aspect such as aerospace, or industrial markets. This means that we are accumulating much more specialised knowledge."

The company position has also been strengthened by the acquisition this year of Eldim and the Interturbine Coating Centre - now named Sulzer Metco Coatings.
